Brenda Shelton - Owner

Brenda
Shelton PT, CMP graduated from the University of Southern California in
Los Angeles with a degree in Physical Therapy. She has experienced many
aspects of the physical therapy world such as neurological
rehabilitation, chronic pulmonary rehabilitation, general acute care,
teaching Parkinson's exercise classes and out patient orthopedic
therapy. All of these experiences help Brenda to be a well rounded
Physical Therapist allowing her solve many types of treatment problems.
For the past
20 years, Brenda has specialized in treatment of Orthopedic,
musculoskeletal problems with an emphasis in Manual Therapy. She has an
expertise in Strain-Counterstrain, Muscle Energy, and has recently
become a certified Mulligan Manual Practitioner (CMP).
It is
Brenda's goal to use a holistic approach to maintain a balance in the
skeletal structure in order to defray pain and recurrence of problems.
That is why she also incorporates making Custom Feet Orthotics herself,
if needed, in order to complete the balance. She has real joy in
figuring out what is out of alignment in your body, then using gentle,
pain-free methods to correct it. She also tries to educate her patients
as to what is causing their problem and the anatomy behind it, as well
as self treatment techniques.
